At Tswap we respect your privacy. This Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with and what rights you have over your data when using the mobile app and the website tswap.net.
Posted content: photos, description, condition and estimated value of items.
Approximate location (~1 km) if you enable it, to show items near you. We never store or show your exact address.
Messages exchanged with other users inside the in-app chat.
Usage and technical data: language, device type, OS, install identifiers and error logs.
Payment data (only if you subscribe to Tswap Pro): processed by our payment provider. We do not store your full card data.
2. What other users see
Other users can only see your name, profile photo, rating, approximate distance and the items you posted. We never show your email, phone, ID or exact address.
3. How we use your information
We use your data to: create and maintain your account, show you nearby items, connect users to coordinate swaps, send service notifications, prevent abuse, fraud and prohibited activities, comply with legal obligations and improve the app. We don't sell your data to third parties nor use it for external advertising.
4. Who we share data with
We only share data with providers who help us operate the service, under confidentiality agreements:
Infrastructure and database: Supabase / Cloudflare (storage, authentication, edge).
Payments: Mercado Pago (Tswap Pro subscription processing on the web version). On mobile apps, subscriptions may be processed through Google Play Billing (Android) or Apple In-App Purchase (iOS), subject to their own privacy policies.
Authorities: when required by a valid court order.
5. Storage and security
Your data is stored on servers encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. We apply access controls, Row-Level Security policies in the database and activity monitoring. No system on the internet is 100% inviolable, so we also rely on you to safeguard your password.
6. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country of residence (including the US and the European Union). In those cases, contractual clauses and adequate measures apply to ensure a level of protection equivalent to that of your jurisdiction.
7. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we erase your profile, listings and messages within a maximum of 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep certain records (e.g., tax receipts or fraud evidence).
8. Your rights
Under laws like Argentina's Law 25.326 and the EU GDPR, you can:
Access the data we hold about you.
Rectify incorrect information from your profile.
Delete your account and associated data from Profile → Delete account.
Export your information by requesting it via email.
Object to processing or withdraw your consent at any time.
Lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country.
9. Minors
Tswap is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors of that age. If you believe a minor provided us information, write to soporte.tswap@gmail.com and we'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy to reflect legal or service changes. If changes are significant, we'll notify you by email or inside the app. The last update date always appears at the bottom.
